Employment
Services assists members to enter or reenter the work force by developing
employment opportunities and facilitating positive work experiences for both
employees and employers. Members
are supported to achieve their goals, through employment counseling, job
development, training, individual support, and peer support.

Transitional
Employment: part-time, entry-level positions are “owned” by
Connections to guarantee employers that the job will be done; members
receive ongoing training and support.

Supported
Employment: permanent part-time positions that belong to the members,
along with ongoing support, problem-solving, or regular contact with
Employment Support.

|
Independent
Employment: jobs obtained by members in the community; Employment Services
provide guidance on job search process, resumé writing,
interview preparation, and access to technical
resources
(e.g., computers, tax).
